those weeds are prickly lettuce, chooks love em if you’re thinking of keeping some. Also some straw around the plants might be good for keeping the root zones cool, although beware? of puting straw too close to the base of the stem as this can lead to collar rot. straw is brilliant around strawberries as it keeps the soil off the fruit. :0 yeah for backyard gardens

I love the little leg hairs as well, last winter I unintentionally let all my body hair grow out for the first time since I was 13 and it was a strange but interesting experience.
